Rabiu Ali clinch the Player of the tournament in the just concluded 2017 maiden edition of the Ahlan’s Cup tournament, held in the Ancient City of Kano.
Ali beat other competitors to emerge as the best player after putting in a series of excellent displays throughout the tournament.
Two good goals in the finals makes it possible for him to run home with the accolade.
The Pillars midfield maestro, was full of excitement as he led the Sai Masu Gida side to clinch yet another preseason tournament after demolishing Akwa United by 3 goals to nil in the final.
Rabiu Ali was on target twice for the Ahly Killers with Lokosa Junior scoring the other goal in between Ali’s two strikes.
Speaking to kanopillars.com shortly after the match, Ali thanks the fans for their wonderful support and promised to give them more when the league resumes in January.
“First of all, we thank God for the victory and for the enormous supports we’ve been getting from our fans”.
“The fans are behind our recent successes, we fast together and we must break that fast together with them by winning the NPFL title in the coming season, God willing”, Ali added.
Ali will next represent the national team in the LMC Invitational Tournament starting on Monday.
