Kano Pillars stuttering form in the league continued after they were trashed by two goals to one away to Kwara United in one of the Match Day 14 encounters decided on Sunday at the Kwara State Sports Complex.
Pillars opened the scoring through league’s top scorer, Junior Lokosa in the 27 minutes of the game. The goal means that the Lagos state born attacker has now scored 12 goals in just 13 league matches.
Pillars couldn’t hold on to the lead as the Coach Abubakar Bala tutored side scored twice after first half to secure a precious three points against the four time Champions.
In the process, the Sai Masu Gida side have gone on without a win in their last three matches and picked just a point from a possible 9.
The Pride of Kano are still third on the Nigerian Professional Football League table with 21 points from 14 matches, 5 points adrift of league leaders, Lobi Stars of Markurdi.
Pillars will hope to return to winning ways when they take on Ifeanyi Ubah next week Sunday at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
