‘What happened in Abia was unexpected’ Kadiri Ikhana

Kano Pillars FC players returned to Kano safely this evening from Umuahia the capital city of Abia State.

According to Technical Adviser of the club Mr. Kadiri Ikhana, the players will hold a light training tomorrow at Sani Abacha Stadium ahead of Wednesday’s encounter with Nassarawa United FC.

Ikhana charged his boys to forget the defeat they suffered on Sunday in Umuahia and focus on Wednesday’s match.

We didn’t expect what happened to us in Abia but that is football, Kadiri said.

He urged the management and fans of the club to be patient and assured them that the club will not disappoint them this season.

It could be recalled that Abia Warriors FC yesterday broke Masu Gida’s unbeaten record in Umuahia township stadium by beating them 3-0.
